ctf.moscow (formery RCC) - is a project launched
by the organizing committee of international interuniversity competition VolgaCTF in 2016 year.
ctf.moscow are held in one of the most popular cybersecurity competition formats - Capture the flag. The goal of the competition is to evaluate the ability of participants to protect computer systems
In 2019, the competition was held on June 10 with the support of the Internet Initiatives Development Fund.
Competitions aimed at developing key practical skills and competencies of IT students harmoniously fit into the concept of development of the digital economy in Russia. Competetions forms practical knowledge in the direction of information security and creates necessary spectialists.

Capture the Flag (CTF) is a special kind of information security competition or training.
Every team has its own “vulnerable” servers and services. Teams must attack other teams application while protecting the own from being hacked. Teams must keep their services up and running and must solve additional tasks and achievements in parallel.
During the competition team members demonstrate skills in solving cryptographic problems, search and elimination of various web vulnerabilities, analysis of program development, steganography skills, as well as an understanding of various programming tasks, general erudition in the field of information security, network administration and forensics.
In the framework of the competition at 9:30 a business breakfast is planned on retention issues
in the field of information security
In the framework of the competition at 11:00 a round table is planned on training in the field of information security. A key aspect will be the development of the entire information security system in a digital economy.
Delegates from educational institutions such as educational institutions are expected to participate in the discussion. Samara University, Moscow State University, Moscow Engineering Physics Institute, Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology, Higher School of Economics, Moscow Technological University, Moscow Polytechnic University
The dialogue will be supported by representatives of the Scientific Company of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, IIDF, RAEC, as well as leading industry business organizations (Digital Security, Positive Technologies, Interfax, Sberbank-Technologies, Kaspersky Lab, Solar Security, D-Link, HackerU, Aladdin R.D.)
Department of Information Technologies and Communications of the Samara Region in conjunction with Institute of Informatics, Mathematics and Electronics of Samara University for eight years engaged in conducting competitions in the field of information security VolgaCTF. During this time, competitions have grown to the level of international and attract the interest of young specialists all over the world (1097 teams in the qualifying stage of 2019)
